Science4Life is developed thanks to the initiative of three professors of the University of Messina (Italy) with high experience in the field of food chemistry, devoted to defending and assuring food quality and safety requirements. One of the main goals of the society is to research and isolate nutraceutical compounds, so that functional foods, novel foods and health products can be formulated according to the EFSA guidelines, patented and marketed. Science4Life combines the scientific research and production activity with counseling services for the food industry concerning the formulation and use of functional foods and nutraceuticals, and the optimization of production processes, by reducing cost and using by-products, as well. Science4Life also cares about the preservation of environment. For this reason, environmental services and technologies are provided for national and local institutions and companies to guarantee the protection, safety and management of the environment.
