The book aims to exalt the Sicilian tradition and to give back a healthy and extraordinary culinary heritage to the modern food culture, increasingly damaged by a poor knowledge about food mechanisms and properties. Describing the family life of a Sicilian family in the 60's and 70's, the book presents an inexhaustible anthology of rich history recipes, as well as many good suggestions and ideas for the future. The appendix provides helpful reviews of some Sicilian restaurants, pastry shops and bakeries reccomended by the author.
